The JEM1400 is a transmission electron microscope with high contrast and thus particularly suitable for polymer or biological samples. It is equipped with a scanning unit including a high angle annular dark field (HAADF) detector and an energy-dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDS or EDX). A quintuple sample holder allows a high sample throughput. Also Cryo- TEM studies and imaging can be performed.
