The Zeiss DSM962 scanning electron microscope is operated with a LaB6 cathode and can be used to take pictures with medium resolution. It is equipped with an energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer for elemental analysis. In addition, it has an EBSD detector to generate diffraction patterns for phase analysis.
